Thanksgiving Week Hours and Support

The Coda CSS office will be open Monday 11/22 – Wednesday 11/24, 8am-5pm. Our helpline is (404) 374-7378 or codabuilding@gatech.edu. These accounts will not be monitored Thursday (11/25) or Friday (11/26).

Portman’s property management office closes 12pm on Wednesday. The security guard service will have essential crew on Thursday and Friday. You will need your BuzzCard to enter the building on Thursday and Friday.

If you are ordering packages, please keep these dates in mind. There will not be staff here to receive packages Thanksgiving Day or the following Friday. For service tickets, please submit them before 12pm Wednesday.

Coda CSS Team: Staffing and Contact Points

We welcome a new building representative, Scott Hayes, to the team! Scott joins us every afternoon, 12-3.45pm, from the Area 4 maintenance team. We are so pleased to have him on the team.

We encourage everyone to reach out to the CSS Team through the helpline or email so that we can ensure timely responses. For any questions, events, needs, etc., please call (404) 374-7378 or email us at codabuilding@gatech.edu.

For service tickets (HVAC, building issues, BuzzCard access, A/V or IT support), please continue to use ServiceNow to submit tickets. This helps us easily track and route requests to the appropriate Georgia Tech or Portman resources for a quick and timely resolution.

Refresher: Parking Resources

The CSS team manages two parking spaces for GT occupants’ guests and support needs. Here are some notes about reserving spots, and their intended use:

  • Reservations are available on a first come, first serve basis by emailing codabuilding@gatech.edu
  • Spaces can be reserved on a space available basis for:
    • Setup / breakdown times around events for support staff
    • Guest speakers at an event
    • External guest parking
    • IT support staff or facility managers from a faculty/staff member’s home unit doing service calls
  • Spaces cannot be used as a substitute for employee parking permits.
  • Options for substantial ongoing or event parking needs include:
    • For employees with extended Tech Square access needs, we recommend departments consider purchasing a dual-access permit with E81 access.
    • For substantial ongoing or special event parking needs, there are two options:
      • Spaces or validation tickets can be purchased through Lanier Parking (Coda Building deck) or Georgia Tech’s Parking and Transportation Services (E81 – Tech Square deck). We are always glad to assist with this connection.
